Information Night for 8th Graders

Brookville High School will host "Information Night" for 8th graders on March 6th from 6:30-7:30. This is an opportunity to learn about elective offerings for next year.  This event is for both parents and students and you should plan to attend the entire hour.

Attention 7th Grade Parents

This is a reminder to please contact the School Counseling office to schedule an appointment with your child's counselor as soon as possible. This meeting will take approximately 20 minutes. During this time, your child's Career and Academic Plan will be completed and you will also be given information on opportunities available to students in high school. Please call 239-9267 Ext. 4 and speak to Susan Blanks. 

Winter Dance Tonight!

PTO Winter Dance!

Mardi Gras at BMS

  • The PTO Winter Dance will be Friday, February 9th at 6:00pm.

  • There will be a DJ, games, and concessions.

  • Tickets are $5 at the door & $3 in advance.

**Important Drop Off and Pick Up Info**

  • Drop off students in the side parking lot

  • Pick up will be in the front of the building only. Parents should pull into the front parking lot in the same manner as carpool pickup and a teacher will come take your name to call for your student.

  • Students must be picked up at the following times:

    • 6th graders - 8:00

    • 7th graders - 8:30

    • 8th graders - 9:00

    • If different grade level students are carpooling please pick up at the time for the highest grade level in that group.

We have several upcoming events planned for our 8th graders in preparation for their transition to high school. On January 26th, students will tour the Campbell County Tech Center (CCTC). 

 Open House for rising Freshman and parents at Brookville High School will be March 6th from 6:30-7:30p.m.

The Building Leaders for Advancing Science and Technology (BLAST) program offers an exciting, on-campus summer experience designed to increase student interest and curiosity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). This is a great opportunity for our 8th graders who are interested in math and science! Application Deadline is February 5, 2018. For more information see the attached flyer!

Book Fair!

We are excited to announce Book Fair at BMS. Below are the dates at times. Please come out and support our BMS library!

December 1:  VIP Preview for Book Fair
December 4-8:  Book Fair will be open for all students
December 5:  Family Night;  Open from 3:00 until 6:30
December 7:  Family Night;  Open from 5:00 until band concert begins

Graduation Requirements

The school counselors have recently met with the 8th grade students to go over the requirements for graduation. Below you will find the presentation used to share that information with the students. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact the BMS counseling department.

Riding home with a friend?

  • BOTH students must have a note! If you forget, you will not be permitted to call home (a verbal OK will not be accepted)
NO Backpacks are allowed in the classrooms!
